kelly and kathy do an experiement in which their goal is to determine if a wrapped unknown object is more likely to be styrofoam or brick. with only seeing the object, could they make a hypothesis? (why or why not?)

There is no answer to this, without knowing the physical properties of something, you can't identify it.

it's like you going up to a friend and asking them "What object am i thinking of?"

without any clues, it would be impossible to guess. (unless they named everything there is, and happened to guess it.
