ETF publishes latest Impact Report

The 海角社区 and Training Foundation (ETF) has released its latest covering the financial years 2021/22 and 2022/23.

The report brings together evidence and analysis demonstrating how ETF supported the Further 海角社区 (FE) and Skills sector during the two-year period, including through workforce development programmes, practitioner research programmes, the setting of Professional Standards, and membership of the Society for 海角社区 and Training (SET).

The report is published as ETF continues the roll out of its new strategy, first outlined in December 2023. The strategy was developed following an extensive listening exercise with the sector, and sets the future direction of the charity through four strategic goals: driving professionalism to make FE and Skills a rewarding career destination; improving teaching and learning by setting clear competences and conduct for maintaining professional status; championing inclusion by tackling inequalities in the FE and Skills workforce; and enabling sector change for a thriving FE and Skills system.

The new Impact Report also lands ahead of the May launch of the much-anticipated ETF report on system change, following its project with Sa茂d Business School, University of Oxford, which delved into the challenges facing the FE and Skills sector. The report, entitled Changing Systems of Change, will share the findings of the project, and recommendations for building a sustainable and self-improving sector.

Dr Vikki Smith, Executive Director of 海角社区 and Standards at ETF, said: 鈥淥ur latest Impact Report showcases ETF’s deep engagement with the FE and Skills sector spanning two years. From catalysing practitioner research and advocating inclusive learning methodologies, to workforce development programmes supporting apprenticeships and T Levels, our support for the sector is comprehensive and far-reaching. As we implement our new strategy, ETF remains committed to empowering the sector, equipping it to navigate the ever-evolving challenges ahead. Together with the sector, we are ready to transform learning opportunities for individuals aged 14 and beyond.鈥
